How Does the 2017 Hyundai Tucson Hold Up to the 2017 Honda HR-V or 2017 Ford Escape?

A compact SUV is the perfect vehicle for a lot of drivers in Elyria and surrounding communities. It's big enough to carry a lot of cargo and provide passengers with good legroom, but it's small enough that it's easy to drive and park comfortably. The crossover and small SUV market is competitive and there are a lot of great vehicles available, so perhaps you're not sure which of these plentiful options will be the best use of your money.

We recommend the Hyundai Tucson over the Honda HR-V and the Ford Escape. These vehicles are similar in many overall ways, but we find that Hyundai seems to put more thought into the details and is able to provide a nicer finished product at a competitive price. The Tucson is stylish, comfortable, spacious, and ready to take on the world with you.

Hyundai Tucson vs. Honda HR-V

  • The Hyundai Tucson offers more headroom and legroom in the front, so you can stretch out and stay comfy.
  • A Hyundai Tucson will be more fun to drive, with its more powerful engine. Hyundai offers two engine choices for the Tucson, and both provide better power than the Honda.
  • The Hyundai Tucson can handle sharper turns and trickier Cleveland parking lots, thanks to its tighter turning radius.
  • The Hyundai Tucson provides more cargo space for music equipment, groceries, or whatever you need to carry.
  • You'll have greater peace of mind for a longer time with Hyundai's warranty, which goes above and beyond Honda's coverage.

Hyundai Tucson vs. Ford Escape

  • Your backseat passengers will have a lot more room to stretch out in a Hyundai Tucson than in a Ford Escape. You can also get heated rear seats in the Tucson, and they're not available on the Escape.
  • Speaking of seat comfort- the Tucson is available with ventilated front seats for those hot summer days. You can't get that on the Escape.
  • The Hyundai's turning radius wins again, offering much more maneuverability than the Ford in tight spaces.
  • The available hands-free lift gate from the Hyundai doesn't require any awkward foot gesturing, like the Ford does.
  • Hyundai offers an available automatic emergency braking feature on the Tucson, and Ford doesn't offer that technology on the Escape.
  • Like Honda, Ford's warranty is nowhere near as comprehensive as Hyundai's.

2017 Hyundai Tucson Offers a Great Time and a Great Value

With a starting MSRP of $22,700, the 2017 Hyundai Tucson is a wonderful, versatile vehicle that offers the kind of ride quality and features you'd expect from a much more expensive SUV. It's perfect for a night out in Cleveland with friends, a picnic with the family at a park in North Ridgeville or Parma, or running errands in Lorain.

Make the most of those sunny days with the available panoramic sunroof. Opt for all-wheel drive and take those less-traveled trails.  However you use it, the Tucson will provide a lot of value for its reasonable starting price.

Please be in touch if we can answer any questions for you about the Hyundai Tucson! We'd love to send you on a test drive to see how you like it.
